So we've got some big, exciting news to share!!!...

Raiders of the Lost Tuk has received an official endorsement from type 1 diabetic and Famed Adventurer Extraordinaire, Will Cross!

Will Cross has successfully ascended the highest peaks on all seven continents and walked to both the North and South Poles. Literally, Will has led expeditions to the ends of the earth, including climbing 15 unmapped, unexplored mountains in Greenland, as well as expeditions in Patagonia, Mountains of the Moon, the Sahara Desert, and the Thar Desert of India.

As Will stated in his official endorsement of Raiders of the Lost Tuk, "The Rickshaw Run drew my attention from it's inception; a unique approach to a pandemic condition in a fascinating part of the world.  I am pleased to endorse the Raiders of the Lost Tuk in their quest to raise important funds for JDRF."

Check out this highlight reel of Will sharing his stories via speaking engagements & national news outlets, and read more about his accomplishments below.  Definitely worth the watch - it's FASCINATING!

Will’s achievements have been covered by CNN, BBC, The Today Show, Discovery Channel, Voice of America, KDKA News and Talk Radio, and ABC, CBS, and NBC national affiliate stations. He has also appeared in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The New York Times, Explorers Journal, and GQ. During 2003 and 2004, Will delivered an inspirational Public Service Announcement viewed by over 17 million people. Will’s 2004 Mt. Everest expedition had a reach of over 37 million people. In 2005, Will won the Media Spokesperson of the Year Award.

Will has lived with type 1 diabetes for over 30 years. Will effectively manages his diabetes in the most extreme conditions, while facing many challenges such as irregular meals, extreme temperatures, unusual sleeping patterns, physical exertion, high risks of frostbite and dehydration, and less than ideal conditions in which to monitor glucose levels and administer insulin. Will seeks to get the message out that if he can control his diabetes in the most unlikely conditions, no one should feel hindered by diabetes.

Like Will, Raiders of the Lost Tuk seeks to not only raise vital funding for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, but to also bring awareness to type 1 diabetes and inspire those living with T1D as Jim is that nothing can really hold you back.  Raiders of the Lost Tuk are thrilled to be endorsed by such a well-respected, engaging, and accomplished adventurer!  With Will's endorsement, it is our hope we can gain greater awareness of our journey and increased support from corporate sponsors to help us raise loads of dinero for JDRF!
